Building Bridges to the Past and to the Future

True history is the record of ordinary people living their lives and doing ordinary and extraordinary things. The only person who will provide this history is the family historian, that is, any member of the family who will take on the task. The whole idea can seem overwhelming and impossible, but keeping a record of genealogy and family history and your personal history and writing it down are things I can help you with. You have come to the right place.

I can research your genealogy or help you to do it and help you to organize your family memorabilia. Good paper can last up to 300 years (or maybe even longer) but it should not take you that long to find a particular piece of it. Organization and preservation of your records is vitally important to your family's history and to your descendants.

One of the most important components of histories is pictures. Pictures need to be identified, organized, scanned for editing and storage, and placed properly into the narrative. All family artifacts need to be sorted, labeled, and properly stored.

A high quality personal or family history book for you and your family will be the result of all this work. You can write the material yourself or I can do it for you. I will help you every step of the way to do the very best job possible.

There are several formats a finished product can take. To see what your published book might look like, click on the MemoryPress tab at the top of this page and follow the link. If you have a great number of pictures, a printed photo book can be created with very little text. Or, I can help you scrapbook some pictures (using scanned copies) to make them especially appealing to the members of your family.

Nest, take a look at my products and services page and select what seems right for you.

I can guide you through the process or do it all for you.

You have come to the right place. You have taken the first step. Now email me or call me to find out more and get started!

Why hire a professional?

Hiring a professional is always easier than doing it yourself and often turns out to be less expensive.

You can't use it if you can't find it! If you need help organizing and preserving your materials, I can do that.

Interviewing, transcribing, writing, composing, and supervising the printing of your histories is hard work. Hiring a specialist just makes sense.

Research is a very specialized field. Let my experience work for you.

Walton in Tonopah

My great-granduncle and his brother Charlie went out west to grow up with the country. Right after 1900, Walter went to Tonopah, Nevada, during the gold and silver rush and worked as an undertaker. One of my more adventurous relatives.
